Jordanian singer releases song in solidarity with jailed Palestinian teen

JEDDAH: Jordanian singer Zain Awad has released a new song in solidarity with Palestinian teen Ahed Al-Tamimi, who is in Israeli detention.
Awad wrote, composed, produced and sang “The Cry of Ahed,” which is available on YouTube. She dedicates the song to Al-Tamimi and to the Palestinian people in general.
Al-Tamimi could face up to 14 years in prison after being indicted for allegedly assaulting a pair of Israeli soldiers outside her home.
Her father said she was upset after her 15-year-old cousin was shot in the head with a rubber bullet.
