200 horses entered to compete at Almortajaz Arabian Horse Show
  • Event, to be staged at the city’s Almortajaz Equestrian Center, will be supervised by the King Abdulaziz Center for Purebred Arabian Horses
  • As well as earning championship titles the top five winners in each class will also receive a cash amount of SR5,000 ($1,300)

RIYADH: The Almortajaz Arabian Horse Show will be held on Feb. 22 in Riyadh to mark Saudi Founding Day.

The event, to be staged at the city’s Almortajaz Equestrian Center, will be supervised by the King Abdulaziz Center for Purebred Arabian Horses.

A total of 200 animals have been entered to compete in categories including fillies, colts, mares, and stallions.

As well as earning championship titles the top five winners in each class will also receive a cash amount of SR5,000 ($1,300). In addition, prizes will be awarded for the most beautiful horse, best movement, and highest score.

Accompanying events will showcase the history and civilization of the country.
